When the holidays arrive I generally get very nervous when it comes time to buying my husband his gifts. When I ask him seriously what he wants for Christmas he always replies with, “nothing” which can be extremely hard because I don’t ever want to leave anyone out at Christmas time.
This year I decided to do a few things different. Along with a few other gifts I decided to make him a Winter Essentials gift basket. The past 5 Winter’s we’ve had power outages that last anywhere from twelve – eighty six hours. Fun right? Well, not so much. We are NEVER prepared. Ever.
You’d think after the first or even second time we’d have learned our lesson and stocked up on things we need for the outages but we didn’t. So I’ve decided to incorporate that as well as a winter theme and Christmas morning theme for my husband. I decided to wrap all essentials he will need this winter in one little basket! I have been really working on being as green and eco-friendly with my gifts this year, as well as the products we use all year long so I am thrilled with being able to use Energizer® EcoAdvanced™!
Here is my step-by-step tutorial to create this beautiful and thoughtful homemade Winter Essentials Gift Basket for him!
What is one thing you seriously need during a power outage? Candles, and what else? Flash lights and Batteries. Those are at the top of our list every time, but we always without fail don’t have them and my husband always feels guilty. Not this year! I’m stocking him up.
I decided to include Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ batteries in his gift basket. I’ve used these batteries multiple times recently and really enjoy how long they last as well as how green these batteries are. Did you know the Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ are the world’s first AA battery made with 4% recycled batteries? They are also Energizer’s longest-lasting and most responsible alkaline battery.
I decided to include lots of batteries for not only our winter preparations but also Christmas morning! Do you know how many times my poor husband jumps up on Christmas morning hunting batteries for toys only to be disappointed we both forgot them! Not this year! We are as prepared as ever!
If you are purchasing gifts this Christmas for children be sure to stock up on Energizer® EcoAdvanced™! They are long lasting and have less of an impact on our beautiful planet!
Get everything you want to include set out and organized:
Place the first item in – I chose the most awkward shaped item which is the mug and flu powder:
Then goes in the chocolate and trail mix:
Up next is the Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ batteries, screw drivers, wire cutters and mini flash lights:
Last goes in the gloves and ice scraper:
Time to cut our wrapping and get it all wrapped and ready:
And all done!
Now that I’ve shared my husbands gift fueled by Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ Batteries – Are you planning to make a gift basket or two this holiday season? What are you planning to include?
