I’ve been a mom for almost 14 years now, and with my first baby I was only able to breastfeed for 2 weeks. Then we switched to formula and PlaytexBaby bottles, and the two babies after that I decided to strictly do bottles and formula. But, with my last 3 babies Jackson, Justin and Hanna I was determined to breastfeed and make it work. I did, and although Jackson had kidney issues from birth I was able to pump when a hospital trip was needed (we also used PlaytexBaby bottles for this) which is why I believe the bottle to nipple back to bottle and nipple relationship was so successful. By 6 months the hospital visits were changed to once a year and by the end he successfully breastfed until he was 14.5 months old! With Justin he didn’t have a bottle at all, he exclusively breastfed for the first year and after we kept it up until he was almost 3. I was actually 20’ish weeks pregnant with Hanna when I weaned him!
Hanna is turning 6 months old on the 10th and she is exclusively breastfed. I had to go to a blogger event a couple weeks ago though and, although I was iffy, we had recently just started our brand ambassadorship with PlaytexBaby so I was convinced if we could get her to take one of the PlaytexBaby Nurser bottles I’d be able to go!
Well, I pumped 4oz after nursing her, as we had other frozen 10oz in the freezer and off I went to my event. I got a text about 2 hours saying they were going to try a bottle with her. I was nervous, she had never had a bottle successfully before. She is a 110% boob girl. I waited, and in between looking at the gorgeous white lions at the zoo, and hiking up a huge hill to find bears I got a text saying she successfully drank a bit of her bottle, but Ava had to feed her. SUCCESS. She is super picky, and is a comfort nurser and sucker. So, if she needs comfort of any sort it’s off to moms arms she goes. I was really glad that PlaytexBaby held up to Hanna’s expectations. As the box says, Trusted by moms for over 50 years…. That says something.
The PlaytexBaby™ Nurser® with Drop-Ins® is the bottle they chose to try her on. It’s said to be the closest to breastfeeding.

The PlaytexBaby™ Nurser® bottles come with slow (0-3m+), medium (3m+) and come in 4oz and 8oz sizes. These bottles are compatible with ALL Playtex® Nipple varieties to match baby’s unique preferences. These bottles are dishwasher safe and one of my favourite features is having an angled design to promote semi upright feeding. They are also BPA free.
One thing Ava noted was that Hanna loved to be cuddly while she was taking the bottle. She was able to eat 4oz and then wanted to just cuddle. I don’t leave Hanna often but knowing that if I need to for any emergency or a blogging event, she will be able to be fed by someone other than just me. Hanna even wanted to hold the bottle herself — she’s getting so big!
Closer to Natural Breastfeeding — Clinically Proven!
The pre-sterilized nurser liner collapses gently like Mom’s breast as baby feeds. Baby sucks and swallows in a coordinated rhythm that mimics natural breastfeeding, so baby breathes more naturally during feeding!
Easy Switching Between Breast and Bottle
The Naturalatch® Nipple has a raised texture area that helps baby latch on properly and naturally, mimicking the latch-on like the breast for easy natural feeding and easy switching between breast and bottle.
Pre-Sterilized Disposable Liners
We are all busy. Who wants to spend a lot of time cleaning bottles that are really hard to get right in there and make sure are truly clean? I know I don’t, so using the PlaytexBaby™ Nurser® with Drop-Ins® liners is very convenient. Simply drop in a liner and off you go. Once done, toss it away!
Knowing there is an option when I am not available makes me feel at ease. Hanna was happy when I got home from the zoo event and I had zero guilt. I’ll admit, the guilt leading up to the event was almost enough to have me back out. I am glad I didn’t and that Hanna didn’t put up too much of a fight when it came to eating. Sure, she protested dad but in the end she took the bottle, and was happy and content.
I know sometimes there are times that a bottle is needed, or you are a formula feeding family (fed is best, always)! and these bottles are perfect for it all.
