Welcome! My name is Jeanine and I’m so thrilled you are taking a look at Six Time Mommy! I am a 31-year-old (July 29th, 1985!) Canadian blogger living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where I have been living with my family for the past 6+ years.
Six Time Mommy is my little haven where I can write about everyday life as a mom of 7, recipes, reviews, parenting advice/tips, diy and just about everything!
I have been blogging on and off since 1997/98. It sounds crazy when you say it that way but I promise I did take quite a few years off in between. Back when I started blogging on gurlpages, geocities and angelfire – things weren’t as awesome as they are now!
Like the title of this blog, I do have 7 children. All mine, I did birth myself. They range in age from 13-newly born summer 2016.
I am a stay at home mom who earns a living here on Six Time Mommy. I absolutely love everything there is about children and babies.
I’ve been married since February 2007. You can meet my husband, here. He helps with some reviews, and can be seen talked about often here on Six Time Mommy! If you are wondering why my kiddos aren’t introduced on here it’s because they have their very own page, you can learn all about them here.
We have lots of animals. We have 3 dogs Chase, Chanel, and Ace, 1 cat we call Charley, multiple fish and an adorable, sweet and loving Cinnamon Green Cheek Conure named Teeki.
I am a very passionate person. I lost my mom when I was 16 years old to lung cancer, she was just 48. I have been through a lot in my life but instead of focusing on all the bad, I’ve chosen to let all my experiences build me up to the person I am today. I was a single teen mom at age 17 giving birth to my first born just two months into my 18th year of life. I found out my estranged (of 20+yrs) biological father was sick in 2014 and learned of his passing in 2015 (from cancer) and wrote all about the experience. I find solace in writing and have gained an amazing following along the way.
I met my husband in the Fall of 2004, but we didn’t start dating until late 2005. We got married in Feb 2007 and the rest is history. We love to have date nights at home, make each other dinner, and like everyone – have been through more than anyone could ever imagine. It has only made us stronger. We are best friends, and soul mates even though times get tough. We always pull through and we are truly happy.
I have a huge heart for animals: Marine Animals are a HUGE love of mine, and I will fight every day of my life for the freedom of all caged marine animals, and those living in small entertainment pools.
I have tattoos, babies, and lots of animals. I am who I am, and I hope you stick around and get to know me! I promise it will be worth it… Enjoy my little haven on the web.
Our beloved furbabies. Chanel and Chase. We’ve had Chase since May 2010 and Chanel we got in February 2013. We had a slight horrible furparent moment in Summer of 2013 when Chanel became pregnant. You can read all about that, here.
We kept 1 of the 6 results from that pregnancy, and his name is Ace.
We also have a cat, named Charley…
She is a tabby cat. We got her shortly after our beloved 7-year-old black and white long haired Daisy passed away.
Charley got out of our house on her way to an appointment to be spayed, go figure! She wound up pregnant which then resulted in these two being added to our ever growing family…
We also have a bunch of fish, which I tried to photograph but those darn little swimmers do not stay still long enough.
Last but not least we have our baby Teeki. Teeki is a Cinnamon Green Cheek Conure. The most loving, adorable, special little bird I have ever met. We have a nice little bond, I’m his (or her – we don’t know the gender) person.
We had another Green Cheek Conure who sadly, tragically passed away around Christmas time. He hated all of us except my husband, but we did love him dearly. Max is missed.
Teeki is a character. Always posing for the camera, and trying to get into just about everything!
Well, now you know us! I hope you stick around and I can get to know you! I love reading comments so if you like something you see here feel free to say so! Hope to hear from you soon, enjoy Six Time Mommy!
