2017 is a special year for celebrating Canadian milestones. This year marks Canada’s 150th birthday, and as a Canadian, family-owned company, Dare Foods is excited to share their special milestone – their 125th birthday!
These cookies are iconic in Canadian households. When you see those maple leaf shaped cookies you know, they are Dare and they are delicious!
I remember going to my grandparent’s house as a kid and being excited to get my hands on those “maple leaf cookies!” that they always had on hand. They were one of the highlights of the memories I have with my grandparents, who both passed away when I was 19 years-old. During sleepovers, my Grandpa would make me root beer floats, and we’d have some of those “maple leaf cookies” as I would call them and all was right in the world.
About Dare Foods

While Dare has evolved throughout the years, its commitment to Made Better food remains at the heart of everything they do.
I will admit that I sometimes take for granted things we can only get here in Canada, like these delicious Maple cookies. I sent a box to my friend Kristina in the United States because she had to experience how delicious they are. There is nothing like Canadian made, and anything with Canadian maple – nothing compares!
Whether you like a big cold glass of milk, or a nice hot cup a tea with your snack of cookies. Dare Ultimate Maple Crème cookies to go with just about anything! With the warm, rich flavour of maple taking over every bite, they are sure to please!
It’s hard to explain how a cookie can bring back good, hopeful memories from your childhood but it’s fun trying to explain it to my kids. They too are huge fans of the Maple Crème. Losing my mom and grandparents at such a young age, I cherish all the memories I had with them, even if some are fading rather quickly.
Being able to share with my kids the memories, and the snack that was so much a part of my childhood warms my heart.
What is more Canadian than Maple flavour? Maple Syrup…. Of course! My friends in the US tell me often that they think of Canada they associate it with Maple Leafs and of course Maple Syrup! I’ve tried many syrups and none compared to our amazing Canadian Maple Syrup!
To celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, and as a Canadian, family-owned company, Dare Foods is excited to share their own special milestone – their 125th birthday and in celebrating we are giving away an exclusive bottle of Dare Maple Syrup that was specially sapped from a tree in Québec as old as the Dare company itself! Pretty amazing, right?
