As I’ve mentioned before on the blog, this year I am on a journey to get back into shape following baby #7 and my awful experience with Gestational Diabetes. It’s not only left my body in a state it’s never been in before, but it’s done a number on my confidence, which isn’t something I’m quite used to! My goal for the next few months is to get back into shape, but I don’t want to spend a lot of money. You don’t have to! There are a multitude of ways to get fit without breaking the bank, which is something I know is important to a lot of you. I’m happy to share what has been working for me and what you may want to consider in order to get yourself back into your best you this year!
5 Tips For Getting Fit on a Budget
Join a Low-Cost Gym – Joining an inexpensive gym is an excellent way to get fit. You can workout around your schedule, and it takes a lot of the stress out of figuring out where you should start! Fit4Less, which starts at only $4.99 every two weeks (plus a joining fee) is a perfect place to enjoy high-quality fitness without breaking the bank! Too busy and don’t think you have the time? Fit4Less has a –30-Minute Express Circuit to keep you on track and on schedule! A lot of Canadians are busy and fear they don’t have enough time for the gym and this helps! The Fit4Less purpose is to give every Canadian the opportunity to live a fit and healthy life. Fit4Less makes high-quality fitness affordable and provides more Canadians the opportunity to achieve their health and fitness goals.
Meditate – Not only do you need to get your body fit, but your mind as well! Meditation is an excellent way to relax and helps with many health concerns such as high blood pressure, depression, and anxiety. However, there is also an abundance of other ways you can relax on a day to day basis. This is because sometimes all I need in the evening is a quick game on my mobile casino app, which gives me a great bonus offer so I can have some fun and get a bit more cash before I go to bed. I also tend to watch some TV, read a book and do some drawing because this helps me to unwind in the evening after a stressful day with the kids.
Get to bed Early – Getting to bed earlier will help by giving you more energy and allowing you to be more productive during your day. I find this helps me tremendously and doesn’t cost a thing! Also, SLEEP is awesome! That being said, it is no secret that getting to sleep can be a challenge, especially if you are living with insomnia. I was speaking to a friend of mine about this the other day and she told me that she has found that introducing CBD oil into her wellness routines has helped her to drift off more easily. There are a lot of studies out there to suggest that CBD products can help people living with sleeping problems, so if you are struggling to get to sleep, you might want to research some of the best CBD oils to identify whether natural products might be right for you. Moreover, nowadays, CBD infused products are available in a wide range of different formats to suit your lifestyle. For instance, whereas some people prefer to get their CBD fix via Wholesale CBD Gummies, others prefer to use CBD skincare products. In the end, it is all about finding what works for you. Accordingly, it is important to remember that there are other herbal products out there that you might want to introduce into your insomnia toolkit too. For instance, in recent times, cannabis concentrates have soared in popularity. Above all though, if you are finding insomnia difficult to live with, you should always speak to a doctor first as they might be able to suggest alternative products or even write a prescription to help you to get the sleep you need to function.
Walk Around the Neighbourhood – Taking frequent walks around your neighborhood will not only help get you in touch with your neighborhood, but it will also help if you are like me and counting steps daily! Doing this with friends also makes it a lot more enjoyable, and I know for me this helps!
I asked my husband to get me a Fitbit for our 10th Wedding Anniversary! Now, I know what you must be thinking, that’s a strange gift for an anniversary? Well, for me it’s something I will get a lot of use out of! I can track my sleep, my steps and also participate in challenges with friends. It’s encouraging and keeps me accountable. I didn’t list it in the budget portion of this post because some of them can be costly, but it’s worth it! Do you know how many steps you log after a good 30 minutes at the gym? Try it; you’d be VERY surprised. I love being able to share my journey with my kids and my pets. Taking my dogs out for long walks is as big a stress relief for me as a workout. You try having a little relaxation in a house full of 7 kids! Doesn’t happen. Making sure I take time to get the gym at least once a week is also imperative. There is something about that time that helps me get into the proper headspace and remind me why I’m doing it.
