If you’ve been a visitor around here for a little while you’ll know I’m a huge fan of books. My kids love books and I love making sure they have plenty to read. So, when an e-mail landed in my inbox asking if I’d like to post about this new book, Ada Twist and the Perilous Pants and do a giveaway for you all I of course couldn’t say no!
Although the book is recommended for kids ages 6-9 my kids generally all share and read books together. Ava who is turning twelve this summer was thrilled to read this book and add it to her small but growing book collection.
A mystery! A riddle! A puzzle! A quest! The Questioneers are the best! If you’re already a fan of Ada Twist, Iggy Peck, and Rosie Revere, get ready for a new Questioneer! Sofia Valdez, Future Prez joins the class Election Day 2019.
The Questioneers Book #2
By Andrea Beaty, Illustrated by David Roberts
Release date: April 16th, 2019
Recommended for ages 6-9
About the Book
Ada Twist is the queen of questions. Like, why does hot coffee smell stronger than cold? What kind of birds live in her backyard? And, especially, why does her brother Arthur get so cranky when she borrows his stuff for experiments?
But Ada’s questions really come in handy when her friend Rosie Revere needs help. Rosie’s Uncle Ned has gotten carried away in his famous helium pants, and Ada needs some answers—fast!
How high can Uncle Ned float? Will he fly off into outer space? And, most important, how can they get him down? With the help of her fellow Questioneers Iggy Peck and Rosie Revere, her brother Arthur, and some new friends, Ada Twist is ready to save the day!
Fun fact: From the moment Hanna, my almost three year old could talk she called Ava, “ada” or sometimes “ata” so of course I was thrilled when Ava wanted to keep this book for herself, not only did she enjoy reading it but it was meant to be!

Reading is extremely important and I’m always encouraging my kids to get into books and put down the tablets, iPads and iPhones. Ada Twist and the Perilous Pants is a great book and is also filled with some great information. Our little Hanna is in the “why” stage, so it’s nothing new here and Ava got a real kick out of this book and made sure to tell me all about the questions and how much it reminded her of her sister. We are new to the Questioneers, and are thrilled to be introduced. I think my little Jackson may even like to take a turn reading it.
