Strawberry Vanilla Almond Breeze Yogurt Pops

Now that Summer is officially upon us I decided I need to start making our popsicles instead of buying them. You never really know what’s in them when you buy them and I find they are getting pretty expensive at the stores. So, I ordered a fancy mold on Amazon and got to work at making many different popsicles.

This is one of our favorites! Just in time for Canada day this July 1st,  try these delicious Red and White Strawberry and Vanilla Almond Breeze Yogurt Pops. Not only are they made with very few ingredients, but these ingredients I trust!

Almond Breeze is a delicious almond beverage alternative to dairy that is lactose and gluten free. It tastes great on its own or in recipes and has a creamy smooth texture and hint-of-almond taste. It is made with high-quality real California almonds that come straight from growers within Blue Diamond’s cooperative that have been in the almond business for 100 years.

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1 1/2 cups Blue Diamond Almond Breeze, Unsweetened Vanilla
  • 6 medium to large fresh Strawberries pureed
  • 2 1/3 cups plain yogurt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon stevia

Instructions:

  1. Purée strawberries in the blender until completely smooth. Add in stevia, mix well.
  2. Pour strawberry purée 1/4 of the way into the mold.
  3. Freeze for about 45 mins or until firm.
  4. Add yogurt/almond breeze mixture to the top of the mold. Put the top on mold and back in the freezer for 30 mins.
  5. Take out of the freezer and gently add Popsicle sticks.
  6. Freeze for another 3 hours or overnight and enjoy!

My kids aren’t too picky when it comes to their popsicles, but these are some of their favorites. We’ve had to make them multiple times since May. I have no problems making cold treats at home, in fact, I want to make these in bulk and put them in the deep freezer because they are just THAT good!

Using the Almond Breeze added a nice flavour that I really enjoyed. We used the unsweetened on in this recipe, and it was just delicious. Of course adding a tiny bit of stevia because of the strawberries gave it just the perfect amount of sweetness.

I kept these in the freezer overnight, and they didn’t even attempt to melt while taking photos. I’d suggest leaving them in the freezer as long as possible, I know, it will be hard they look and taste amazing! But they will be really good, and not melt quite as fast!
