Breville has quickly become a household name in our home. We not only have a Breville Smart Grill, Breville Quick Touch Crisp but now we’ve welcomed the Breville Hemisphere Control Blender to our counter tops!
Being diagnosed a few weeks ago with Gestational Diabetes I’ve been really looking for new ways to have fruits and veggies in my diet. Mixed in meals, cut up into wedges, and eating them raw can sometimes get very boring and dull. So, what better way to keep up those foods I need more of in my diet than make smoothies? I’ll admit, I’m not a big veggie fan so although I’ve had to change my diet 110% I’ve been very lax with my veggies. Hiding them in smoothies has been something I loved doing in the past — but our blender went kaput a few months ago. Talk about bad timing. I needed my blender more than ever now, especially if I wanted to add more fruits and vegetables to my diet. The last blender that we bought was quite expensive, so this time I wanted to have a look for a budget blender that would still perform in the same way as my old one. They made the best smoothies, so I preferably wanted the new one to do the same too. I just had to find the perfect one. So that’s why we never got a new one until now. I searched high and low for the best countertop blenders and read so many reviews about what each blender had to offer. It took some time, but I finally found a blender that I thought was suitable. You can imagine my excitement when the Breville Hemisphere Control Blender was delivered to my door. Smoothies here we come!

Did you know you can make more than just smoothies or milkshakes in a blender? Fruit & Veggie juices, Batter for waffles & Pancakes, Ice Cream, Dips & Salsa, Soups and Puddings plus a whole lot more! (nut butters, cheese sauces, dressings, sauces and so much more!)
Blenders are extremely versatile and I really felt like we were missing out the months our blender was out of commission!
It’s easy to use, and easy to clean. Fits perfect on our countertop and looks amazing sitting there. No other blender we’ve owned has compared to this. Never have we had a large 48 ounce Tritan copolyester jug that not only makes us a smoothie that we can share (husband and I) but when we make a smoothie for the kids we only have to make 1 and it’s enough to fill their little cups. This is something super important to me. I don’t want to have to be standing in the kitchen making multiple smoothies and making sure all of them are just the same – because we know how kids can be!
My kids thought it was hilarious when dad failed to hold the top of the blender and it shot out the top – so little tip to all; make sure you are holding the blender top down when you have it on a high setting or you will have a mess and a bunch of kids who can’t stop laughing!
We are huge fans of Breville in our house and I’m certain that we will be using this blender for years to come. I’m looking forward to when I give birth and whipping up fabulous milkshakes in different flavours and blends! I’m sure my kids will be thrilled when we can enjoy them too (okay, I know they can anytime but let’s face it – mama wants some too!) For now they are thrilled enjoying their fruit smoothies!
What is your favourite type of smoothie? Could you use a new Breville Hemisphere Control Blender?
