Easter is just around the corner so I decided to start posting some Easter items from now until Easter! We don’t do much for Easter. Like most Holiday’s we just do our own thing at home. We do the Easter baskets, the Easter Egg Hunt, Crafts, etc but for dinner we just stay home and have our meal together.
As a kid I was always at my Grandparents for Easter dinner. That was one of my absolute favorite times. Spending the Holiday’s at my Grandparents. My Grandpa would always make me a Root Beer Float. It was incredible, and the only times I ever had one was with him because he made it the absolute best. I wish my kids got to experience that too. But, when I’m old and grey (okay, even more grey) I intend to have big family Holidays at my house and start new traditions at my house with my Grand kids, if I am lucky to get them in the far, far future.
I fully intend to introduce this little gem to them, the Cadbury Mini Eggs Milkshake. It is the absolute perfect treat for Easter. Cadbury Mini Egg’s are one of my favorite treats to indulge in during Easter so I always have a few packs on hand in the cupboard.
Want to make it yourself? It’s pretty simple, and delicious! Here is how you do it:
- 1/2 Cup Milk (any variety)
- 2 Large Scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream
- Handful of Mini Cadbury Eggs (to taste)
- Add the milk and ice cream to the blender and blend until smooth.
- Add in a handful of Mini Cadbury Eggs and pulse 5-6 times until the candy is broken into little pieces.
- Check thickness. If you want a thicker shake, add more ice cream.
- Pour into your favorite glass and enjoy!
Sounds and looks really incredible right? I’m pretty sure I would be the best Gran on the block if I did this for future grand kids! It’s so funny to me talking about grand kids, but milkshakes and float talk reminds me of my Grandparents who I really miss during these Holidays! Don’t worry though, I’m in no hurry to become a gran… My kids know there’s about 30 or more years more before that happens! (haha)
