This weekend is Thanksgiving here in Canada (Happy Thanksgiving Fellow Canadians!) I am really excited to have our big turkey dinner! My husband cooks the best turkey, makes the best homemade stuffing and I just love having my kiddos home that extra day from school to spend time with them, watch a movie and eat really good food!
I thought it would be fun to share this pretty awesome Thanksgiving Printable Pack with you all! It’s best for Pre-K – Kinders, but my 6 year old had a blast coloring it and doing the puzzles too! So, I wouldn’t limit it too much, each child is different!

I’ve decided that this year I’m going to forget all the bad stuff that has been going on around me, because there’s been quite a few things happening and really focus on the good. What I’m thankful for, because let’s face it I do have a lot to be thankful for – however, upon checking my e-mail this morning I was reminded that I would be 18 weeks pregnant today which made me immediately upset. For those of you who don’t know I had a miscarriage back on July 17th which landed me in the hospital. It was a very hard time for me and took me quite a few weeks to fully feel myself again so instead of being sad today, beating myself up and wondering why, I’m going to be thankful it happened. Sounds bad, but let me explain — I have been very lucky and have gotten pregnant very quickly with all my other children. Things happen for a reason, I am very much a believer in that so although it was one of the hardest, saddest and heartbreaking times in my life I believe there was a reason for it.
Maybe the baby wasn’t going to be healthy, maybe it just wasn’t the right time. Who knows, but there is obviously a plan and I’m going to be thankful for what I do have, and what is to come because afterall, life isn’t about the what-ifs and all the terrible things that have happened to us, right? It’s about happiness, love, health and moving on. Which is what I plan to do.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all, and happy weekend to those who aren’t celebrating this weekend! What are YOU thankful for?

I get really sad that so many holidays have turned into Hallmark Holidays. I am thankful for things like that which teach kids and adults that we should be thankful for things not just on the holiday, but all the time.

This would be great for our Thanksgiving in November. I keep telling my brother I’ll join him for Thanksgiving one day in Canada and I just have to keep that promise.
((HUGS)) I’m so sorry about your miscarriage. I had one last year, and I kept rationalizing that it was just not meant to be, but it’s still sad.
