DIY Magical Fairy Garden

Our house had 5 bedrooms when we moved in and we recently built two more, that are removable for the older two girls in the basement. If they were to become permanent fixtures, we would probably end up getting something like brick veneer panels to make them look more appealing. So, after we built those two new rooms we moved bedrooms around for some of the other kiddos, and as a result Hanna and Mia got their own room to share. I’ve decided to ask them what they want as far as theme and decorations but at three and two, there isn’t much help though! So, I decided I’ll be doing a magical theme for them, and this DIY Magical Fairy Garden is the perfect addition!

Fairy garden’s are all the rage right now, and I think we could all use a little more magic in our lives, am I right? This DIY Magical Fairy Garden is the perfect addition to any girly girls room or even just a fun focal point in your garden. It’s easy to make, and you can find all items needed at your local dollar tree!

Supplies Needed:

  • Large garden bowl
  • Green moss
  • Rocks
  • Fairy houses
  • Fairy bench
  • Fairy signs
  • Fairies
  • Gnomes
  • Faux flowers

Instructions:

  1. Fill the garden bowl with moss and add rocks throughout.
  2. Add fairy houses, benches, and signs.
  3. Place fairies and gnomes in the garden.
  4. Decorate with faux flowers.

Isn’t it cute? The girls and I will also be making them each one and mirror them to their personalities. So, for Hanna she loves all things babies, baby dolls etc. And Mia loves everything dora, peppa pig, frozen and moana! Little action figures from shows they love, or those little tiny baby dolls will make them unique and true to their little favourite things at the moment.

I know I can’t wait to tackle them and start-up their magical fairy room! Also, we’ve decided to expand our fairy garden into the backyard so the magic can be spread throughout our home. We were in the process of finding someone to design our garden such as Drake’s 7 Dees Landscape Design and I’m sure a simple fairy garden request would easily fit in with the designs we have chosen!
