This Father’s Day I am giving dad something different! Forget the tools, forget the unnecessary trinkets we constantly buy him that sit on the counter or in a closet! This year, I’m giving the gift of TREATS!
My husband isn’t a huge treat lover so the treats I buy I need to make sure he will love and enjoy. This is why this little mini plastic paint container from the dollar store worked out perfectly, it’s smaller and fit exactly what I wanted inside it with no problem!
What we included:
- Twix Bar
- Eat More Bar
- M&M’s Chocolate
- Gum Balls
What else needed:
- Plastic painters can container
- Good quality card stock paper
- This printable
- Hole puncher
Once you assemble the treats in the container as you wish it’s then time to print out the card, and cut the circles out. Use a hole puncher to make a hole, and ribbon to attach to the container handle. Super easy, and quick to do! Also, using a good quality card stock is ideal so that when you tie the card on it doesn’t rip or get wrinkled or ruined. We are also gifting my husband this for his glasses. Isn’t it hilarious? His birthday is right after Father’s Day too on the 23rd so now I have to come up with something else to get him then. Usually, I have a hard time with gifting him things but this year the candy just seemed like a great, and different idea.
Most people love gifting tools, ties, clothing or gift cards but I wanted to do something a bit different and I’m really thrilled with how it turned out. What are your plans for Father’s Day this year? Any good DIY you plan to do for gifting? Whatever your plans are I hope you have a wonderful day celebrating dad!
