Easy, Refreshing and Delicious Frozen Fruity Yogurt Bites

by

Finding refreshing treats in the hotter months is pretty easy. But, finding or making your own healthy, refreshing treats can at times be tricky! A few weeks ago I was laying in bed at 11 pm waiting for my husband to get home from one of his two days at work on the weekend when it dawned on me, YOGURT BITES.

I had no idea what I was going to do with the yogurt to make them even more appealing to the kids, but I had the perfect Trudeau muffin pan that would make fun sized and shaped bites. I quickly ran upstairs to the kitchen and looked in the fridge.

We had grapes, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, kiwi, pineapple, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. I immediately started chopping and grabbed some yogurt out of the fridge.

Ingredients:

  • One 650g Container of Yogurt of your choice, I used strawberry
  • 1 Cup Fresh Mixed Fruit – Grapes, Pineapple, Cantaloupe, Honeydew melon, Kiwi, Strawberries, Raspberries, and Blueberries, chopped into tiny pieces

Instructions:

  1. Wash and chop all your fruit into extremely small pieces
  2. Spread them into a mini muffin tin, this Trudeau one worked amazingly well for me and topped with yogurt
  3. Put in freezer overnight, remove and enjoy!

My kids loved them, so did my husband. Now, I’m not the biggest fan of yogurt so I wasn’t sure I’d like them, but these were good! Now that it’s hot out, we will be making these often. When we do this again I’ll allow more time so we can make our own yogurt with something from Yogurt Nerd or somewhere similar as this will make them even tastier and nutritious – I would never have identified as a “yogurt nerd” before, but I think I might be becoming one!

This isn’t a sponsored post either, but I have to tell you – the mini muffin silicone pan I got from Trudeau works so well. It makes the best shape, and because it’s silicone it’s super easy to just pop them out without breaking them! I also use it for many other things including mini muffins and stuffed cookies etc. ! It’s great.

If you are looking for a delicious, refreshing and healthy treat, this one is for you! Especially for kids! Mine love them, and my girls have even made them and thrown them in the freezer themselves!
