Getting into The Holiday Spirit & Decorating #MyCanvas

mycanvastitleDo you know what my favorite time of year is? Christmas! Now, I know what you are thinking. It’s November how on earth can I be excited about Christmas? Well – Let me explain; In Canada we have our Thanksgiving in October so I’m usually getting my decorations up around Nov 20th – but this year, when I saw the Canvas products at Canadian Tire I couldn’t wait.

Did you know: This weekend, Sunday November 15th marks the 111th Toronto Santa Claus Parade? It’s true! If you can’t make it down for the event be sure to tune in and catch it on CTV (check your local listings)

So, naturally with the excitement of the parade coming we wanted to get our house holiday ready.

We headed over to Canadian Tire and I was blown away by the amazing colours, variety of decorations and ornaments that were out. The Canvas collection is truly one of the most beautiful collections I have ever seen. That so many colour themes: Teal, Gold, Green, Red, White and even Multi Colour. It was really beautiful to see all of it displayed. It was also so hard to choose because I wanted it all.

Now I’m not very design savvy, I’m pretty clueless when it comes to decorations and must haves on my table, but I think I did a pretty good job! My decorations speak for themselves this year!

This year we decided we wanted to do a mostly Teal theme – it is my favorite after all but I just LOVE how gold looks with teal, isn’t is pretty and warm? Our table is guest ready, and I can’t wait to have a few people over!canvas8

canvas7Canadian Tire had so many gorgeous Canvas items to choose from I had a hard time choosing! Peter came with me and I was shocked that he was picking out a lot of items, and was actually looking forward to decorating this year.

Of course our home wouldn’t be holiday ready without getting the other decorations up. Of course Canvas had me stocked for that as well.

canvas10I love how this shelf above my couch in my living room looks with these simple, yet gorgeous decorations. I may just keep them up a little longer than I should I really adore them.

Of course, it wouldn’t be decorating and getting into the Holiday spirit without a Christmas tree! We had a blast as a family putting up our tree – in teal, and gold colours!

canvascollageOur decorating and holiday spirit wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for Canadian Tire and the amazing Canvas line.
