Marshmallow Cups Recipe

Delicious and Easy - Marshmallow Cups Recipe - sixtimemommy.comLately I have really been weird when it comes to food. I don’t want many sweets, but when I do I really crave some out there things.

Two days ago I was craving apple crisp so badly, my husband had to walk in the middle of a snow storm to pick up some brown sugar because we were out. The day before that I was craving banana bread french toast, and the day before that? yorkshire pudding. Very different things that we don’t usually just have on hand.

Well, this morning I am craving chocolate. Chocolate and Marshmallows. So of course that means, chocolate marshmallow cups! Probably the easiest thing I’ve craved yet but look how good!

Supplies Needed:

  • Mini cupcake baking pan
  • Mini cupcake liners
  • Microwave safe bowl

  • Milk chocolate chips
  • Marshmallows
  • Sprinkles

  1. Pre cut a few marshmallows into quarters
  2. Line your mini cupcake pan with mini cupcake liners
  3. Put your chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 15 second intervals, mixing in between until chocolate is melted
  4. Fill the bottom of the cups with your melted milk chocolate, about 1/4 way
  5. Put 1 piece of your marshmallow in each cup and push down slightly
  6. Top off with more melted chocolate making sure each marshmallow is covered
  7. Top off with sprinkles
  8. These will need to harden in the freezer for about 30 minutes
  9. After they are hardened they are ready to enjoy!

Quick, easy and delicious. Kids also love them – but I tend to limit stuff like this for my kiddos as it’s a lot of sugary goodness, and well let’s face it; Mom needs more of that than they do!

What are your favorite chocolatey treats to make? Anything with marshmallows?

  1. They look delicious! Very simple and easy to make too from the looks of the recipe. My boys LOVE marshmallows so this is a must make in my house! Thanks for sharing!

  2. YUMMO! I think I would end up making these one day when the kids were out and then eating them all before the kids came home from school LOL.

  7. My goodness these Marshmallows cups are looking absolutely delicious & I love that they are pretty easy to prepare as well. The combination of Marshmallows & chocolate chips is something my kids would love right away.

  8. I had these at a cookie exchange and wasn’t too fond of them, but I’m wondering if it was just the way the person made it, because these look yummy!

  9. I would love to make these marshmallow cups with my son! He would have a blast making these, especially the tasting part! Usually, we simply bake chocolate chip cookies or chocolate cake. So, this recipe will be a nice twist.

  10. Those look AWESOME!!! I am not a huge chocolate person (strange, I know), but I do love to make homemade chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. For some reason, that tastes amazing to me…hmmmm…now I am thinking that I need to make some! I also use marshmallow fluff when I make the filling for whoopie pies.

  11. I love how simple these are to make! We have a lot of chocolate melts/chocolate chips lying around the house, so I think I may have to make some of these Marshmallow Cups and give them to our friends and neighbors for Valentine’s Day! Thanks for the inspiration!
