This is going to sound so crazy I know but, Mia is 6 weeks old on Sunday! Can you believe that? Excuse me while I go cry in the corner for a little bit.
Really though, it’s been an amazing almost 6 weeks with her. She is such a good, quiet and content baby. I couldn’t have asked for a more content and happy baby than Mia. She is so sweet, and I’ve been soaking her up every single second!
Let’s be real though. At almost 6 weeks now, I need to start getting stuff done and pitching in again. My poor husband has been holding down the fort since I got pregnant in July, and found out in August so it’s time to get back into the swing of things. The first 6 weeks I really took the time to recover and enjoy the little tiny baby snuggles. Although I will still continue to soak up every second of this gorgeous baby girl, I need to be able to allow her to nap without interruption. Do you know how hard that is in a house full of now 10 people? It’s hard.
So, I decided for at least a nap or two during the day she has to be in the bedroom and snoozing. Which means, I need to be able to watch her every second. In walks, Philips Avent Digital Baby Monitor, the new moms saving grace.
Keeping a close eye is very easy with the Philips Avent Digital Baby Monitor. I am and have always been one of those moms that the second my baby wakes I rush on over and pick them up. With the Philips Avent Digital Baby Monitor I can finish whatever I’m doing which is usually having breakfast or working at the table on my computer, and watch her as she wakes up. I don’t feel like the second I hear her I have to sprint into the room, and it takes a bit of my anxious feeling away.

After all the hoopla in the past about baby monitors and people being able to hack into them, it was VERY important to me that this wasn’t a possibility. Thankfully, with the Philips Avent Digital Baby Monitor, you get a secure connection making sure that won’t happen.
I really enjoy the fact the picture is so clear, and the screen is a decent size at 3.5 inches to be able to keep a close eye. The 2x zoom is also a wonderful feature, I use often.Being able to keep my eye on Mia while she gets a little snooze and I’m having breakfast in the morning or working at my computer before she wakes up gives me such peace of mind, I am able to actually get things accomplished and even if she wakes up I can watch for a minute or two while she looks around and wakes up. For some reason even though she is baby number 8, I am a bit anxious this time around. I’m not sure if it’s because I finally have that feeling of being done with our family, and no more babies will be coming (something that I have never felt before) or if it’s just because I’m older now, or the fact she is pure perfection.Whatever it is, I am a bit more anxious this time around and having peace of mind where I can make all the difference. Also, maybe now, I will be able to pitch in more when I’m not snuggling with her little sweetness, maybe.
