Do you ever get cravings you absolutely NEED to curb? They are just there for days on end if you don’t eat what you’re craving? I get them all the time, which is probably why I’m having issues losing all this baby weight when my youngest is now two. However, in my defense, a lot of factors factor in here and GD during my last three pregnancies is one of them. Anyway, I love a good cookie. I crave them all the time, and this recipe is adapted from my favorite all-time recipe ever which you can find, here. These cookies are a bit different because they’re Oatmeal Skor Cookies, instead of an oatmeal raisin! Yum both are delicious.
These cookies are now some of my kid’s favorites. They aren’t a fan of raisin so although this cookie is adapted from my all-time favorite, they weren’t even a fan. Which, wasn’t a big deal to me because I LOVED them and that meant more for me, right? I tend to make these often, and make them as mini cookies or normal-sized, and they last a while on the counter in an air-tight container.
- This is the foundation of the cookies, get the recipe here.
- You will simply swap out the raisins for Skor chips (or these will work, too!)
What else is different:
I also put in 1/2 a teaspoon of baking powder
I know a lot of people are trying to make more snacks to eat at home because stores aren’t really an option to be at often, so this is a great one that you can keep on hand and whip up quickly. I’ve also made triple batches and in a freezer ziploc the dough keeps really well. So, you can make some now and save some to throw in the oven later.
