ORBit Relaxation Lamp for Help at Bedtime Review + Giveaway

ORBit Relaxation Lamp for Help at Bedtime Review + Giveaway

Bedtime at our house can often times be a huge stressful mess. One kid wants the light on in the hallway, the others compain its too bright they need the bathroom light on, someone can’t find their nightlight, another can’t sleep without a recently dead turtle light. WHEN WILL IT END?

Well, we figured out how to eliminated the issues where the “light is needed, but all are too bright” are concerned. Jayden uses his nightlight and I got him new batteries for his turtle. Now, the girls. If a light is too bright they tend to stay up, be hyper, get into clothes in their room, play with toys, you name it they’ll do it. They are trouble at night together. So, in comes the ORBit Relaxation Lamp.

orbit1With it’s calm soothing color changing lights, the Relaxation Lamp has quickly taken the place of a bathroom light left one, with the door open a crack and opened up a whole new smoother bedtime. It’s small and can sit basically anywhere, and isn’t bright at all on the color settings. But does also have a solid setting (where it doesn’t change on it’s own) and that can be used as well!

orbit04It wasn’t bright to encourage the kids to stay awake, it looks bright above as I tip toed in the bedroom and had to take a photo but it was really dark so I had to use my camera flash. Ava who usually has a really hard time falling asleep at night and tends to keep Kyla awake (they share a room and bunk beds) was fast asleep within 10 minutes. It was a pure bliss to not have to deal with getting them to be quiet so the other kids could sleep, but also so they could get some rest! After both girls were asleep I went in and turned it off.

The only thing I would change about this lamp is adding a timer. I would love to not have to go into the girls room every night to turn it off. I know it can run on 100 hours with the batteries, but I’d love the batteries to last longer and not have it running when they girls are asleep and don’t need it.
