Here we are again! One of my all-time favorite things to do on the blog is to make these fun Valentine’s Day printables. This Popcorn Treat Bag Valentine’s Day Printable is a fun way to give out treats at work, at school or at an extracurricular.
Valentine’s Day seems to always be met with two feelings: love or disgust. It’s one of those “holidays” that people love or hate and they usually let you know. Let me tell you, I love Valentine’s Day. I always have and probably always will so I do tend to go a little crazy for the occasion.
As a kid, I remember making our little brown paper bags to hang on our desks for our little cards. Gluing on construction paper, writing fun and cute little sayings about love and Valentine’s. It was something I don’t think any of my kids have done since being in school because now it seems so many of these holidays are frowned upon. They usually still give out little cards, but I don’t think it’s as big of a deal as it once was.
While this holiday may be a “Hallmark” Holiday – I enjoy it, and so do my kids. It’s a day to spoil those you love and enjoy, and this is a great way to do it!
The best part about this is you can fill your treat bag with any kind of popcorn (or popping candy or something else that makes you think of the word “pop” such as lollipop) or you can be fun like us and make Strawberry Jello Popcorn to include in the bags making this little treat colorful and tasty!
I don’t think my kids really care what they give/get they just love celebrating but when they saw the red popcorn they were certainly intrigued.
I’ll stop you right now. I know what you’re thinking — Strawberry JELLO POPCORN? Hey, don’t knock it until you try it. It’s actually really tasty and for a treat special for Valentine’s Day we can ignore it’s not the healthiest.
Materials Needed:
- THIS printable
- Good quality cardstock for the printable
- Paper Cutter
- Popcorn (We used this recipe)
- Cute Valentines Bags
- Stapler + Staples
- Baggies
Directions:
- Print our printable out and use a paper cutter to cut out the printable (I use this one it works great!)
- Once you’ve made your popcorn, place them in your baggie and either Ziploc shut or fold down the top and staple (this makes it much easier to work with)
- Fold over the cards without making a hard crease so it doesn’t ruin the cards and staple in place
Done! How easy is that?
I’ll admit I had way more fun making these and putting them together than some of the other ones, but they turned out super cute and the kids thought they were awesome with colored popcorn.
Something I will warn you about though: don’t try the popcorn yourself – or you’ll be hooked!
