I can hardly believe it! Week 34 has arrived. I’ve been fighting extreme pregnancy insomnia the past week. It takes me hours, upon hours to fall asleep for only an hour or so then I’m awake tossing and turning for the whole night. It’s awful and really taking a toll on my moods and our daily schedules.
I don’t have energy to get much done anymore so it’s really been an adjustment. I’ve never dealt with pregnancy insomnia before, and the fact I’m on migraine mediation at night that usually assist in my sleeping but aren’t working says a lot too. Maybe its time to switch to a new mattress. According to bestmattress-reviews, new mattresses are the key to enjoying a great night’s sleep.
Other than the pregnancy insomnia other things are pretty much the same, I am suffering a lot with sciatic pain. It goes right from my butt cheeks all the way down my legs and makes walking, doing housework so hard. It’s really painful, and happens all too often. This is something I have never experienced in pregnancy either. It seems to be getting worse the further along I get too, wonder if soon I won’t even be able to get up and walk around? Hope that isn’t the case. I just want to spend the rest of my pregnancy feeling relaxed, but this will be hard to do if I’m constantly living with this pain. For some people, it’s as easy as looking at somewhere like these san jose dispensaries to help with their pain, but as I’m 34 weeks pregnant, I don’t think this would be the best route for me to go down, unfortunately. Hopefully, the pain will subside on its own.
However, it is good to know that there are other options for you to consider (if you’re not pregnant) to help with your pain and insomnia. What’s even better is that the cannabis can be taken through something like these dab rigs to help make the process more enjoyable. This could definitely be something for me to consider when I’m no longer pregnant.
I went to my Gestational Diabetes clinic on Thursday, the nurse seemed to make such a huge deal out of the fact I lost another 1lb in 2 weeks – and the dietitian said my numbers are way too low I need to eat more carbs at my meals, blah blah… But the whole 2 minutes I saw the GD doctor he had zero concerns. Said most pregnant women have the same blood as me right now – it’s not too low, and he isn’t concerned. Wants to see me back in 2 weeks. Hoping that will be the last time I have to go, as most of my babies come between 36-38 weeks and hoping she comes around 37 but who knows. These babies do what they want, come when they want and we are just here to make sure they get here healthy, and safely!
34 WEEK PREGNANCY UPDATE AND HAPPENINGS:
How far along? 34 weeks today!
How big is the peanut? PERFECT. Now measuring exactly 6 days a head!
Total weight gain/loss? Down another pound in 2 weeks, 27lbs.
Maternity clothes? Maxi dresses are what fit and feel comfy now.
Sleep? 1-2 hours a night if I’m lucky.
Symptoms? Braxton Hicks and LOTS and LOTS of peeing.
Food cravings? Gummy worms/bears and Sours
Food aversions? Peanut butter – I cannot do it anymore.
Gender? Still girl. :)
Labor signs? None as of now, still contract when I walk too much though!
Belly button in or out? In, as always.
Tomorrow I’m heading to my OB appointment where I’ll find out the results of my last BPP ultrasound on the 30th of June. From the tech being so wonderful I pretty much know where she is at, and what she’s measuring but it’s nice to see it on the doctors screen and get the final report.
Hopefully only 3 more of these updates to go and we will have a beautiful baby girl here with us but we’ll see… I think will all the wishing and hoping she may be the only one of my kiddos to hit 40 or more weeks, just because!
