For the better part of a year now my dogs have been enjoying, and devouring Pro Plan Bright Mind. Before we settled on Bright Mind my dogs were very picky and would often go snatch up the cat food and completely ignore their dog food and that to me was an issue. When you have dogs (any animal!), you need to make sure that you get quality dog food for them, so they can function to the best of their ability. Not only is cat food not made for dogs, they were missing out on essentials they needed and could only get from dog food.
But, Why Bright Mind?
I had tried a few Purina brands, and being a Purina Pet People ambassador last year gave me that chance – while they did enjoy all the foods they did try, they really enjoyed Bright Mind. After talking it over with my husband we decided we had enough of this trial of foods, and we were going to stick to one for the whole year and see the outcome.

All 3 of my dogs are healthy and happy. Although Chase and Ace are the most high energy of the three, Chanel has a little spunk in her that is irreplaceable and I haven’t seen in a while. I believe in my heart its due to her diet, and the fact she is actually enjoying her food again. She is the most picky of all, I’m not sure if its because she’s spoiled (she so is)! but sticking to one food, and feeding the dogs at the same time every single day has helped a ton.
I also must say, my dogs seem a lot happier. They have always been happy dogs, but now even my husband has noticed and brings it up a lot. There is a big difference, and although I can’t 100% say for sure it’s the food – it cant be hurting, they are happy as ever.
There are no doubts about it, if you are a dog owner like me, there are few things more important to you than the health of your canine companion. Moreover, recently, I have been thinking about introducing some CBD products into the food that my dogs eat to give them an extra boost. With more and more people beginning to take CBD (cannabidiol) for their own health, many dog owners have started wondering if CBD can benefit their pets too and so I have been doing a lot of research into this fascinating topic.
Although the world of CBD research is still in its early days, CBD for dogs has been used as a key part of pain management for some time now. Throughout a dog’s life, they may suffer pain from injury or hereditary conditions like hip dysplasia. Traditional pain medication can be quite tough on canines, so some dog owners like to use natural products like CBD to help their furry friends. Besides, reducing your dog’s pain can greatly improve their quality of life.
Dog owners all over the world have claimed that CBD products have helped to manage their dog’s pain and improve their quality of life. Accordingly, early research has shown that this may be true and is encouraged by results seen in tests studying CBD and humans. However, as with any natural products, CBD can come with some side effects, so it is important to be aware of these and speak with your vet if you have any concerns.
Anyway, I am really pleased that my dogs are enjoying their food as I am really trying to make sure I give them the very best so that they are around for as long as possible with us. High-quality ingredients are imperative for brain support, body condition and cognitive health. Bright Mind has really been an asset, and although our vet isn’t 100% sure yet, but it’s looking like Chase may have some hips issues. You’d never know it – his energy and puppy like spunk really has been evident the last year and I’m so happy about it. You’d never know Chase is nearing 7 years old by the way he acts (although his wise face may show it!) he is a puppy at heart!
If you are looking for a good brand you can stand behind to make sure your fur baby is getting the food and nutrients they need, to keep them youthful and healthy – Check out Bright Mind!
