Family Movie Night With Sing Now on Blu-Ray and DVD + Sing Inspired Movie Night Treats!

Disclosure: This post is in partnership with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. As always opinions are all mine.

Our family loves movie nights. We have them weekly and always have some fun snacks and treats while we watch. We recently got the SING Special Edition Blu-Ray and DVD Combo and of course, we had to watch it for Family Movie night. My kids were so excited we wanted to do some fun themed snacks!

I went a little crazy with this movie night. I went all out because it was a movie we all had been so excited and waiting so long to watch, so we went a bit crazy with the treats!

My sister in law gave me the great idea to do a Koala Crunch-inspired by the Character, Buster Moon the Koala in sing! So we had to do it! I needed simple because I know not everyone wants to spend all day in the kitchen making snacks for movies so this Koala Crunch is pretty easy, and takes only a few ingredients!

  • Caramel Popcorn
  • Chocolate, melted
  • Mini pretzels
  • Almonds and Peanuts (or any nuts of your choice)
  • Star sprinkles – when I think of this movie, I think of stars!
  • Silver ball sprinkles

  1. Place caramel popcorn in a bowl, drizzle melted chocolate over the popcorn
  2. Add in mini pretzels, nuts and drizzle a little more chocolate
  3. Mix well
  4. Sprinkle with star sprinkles and silver ball sprinkles

So easy, delicious and fun!

We had an absolute blast making it, and I can assure you the kids had an absolute blast eating it! I also made some homemade donuts for the occasion but the kids were more interested in the Koala Crunch and little boxes of popcorn sprinkled with Koala Crunch I made up for them. I included some juice bags and some other little chocolate treats to make our movie night delicious and memorable!

SING is one of our favorite movies. It was like a feature length, animal filled GLEE. The only thing better than a movie night with this is a movie night with this AND that awesome looking popcorn.

Favorite movie snack is chocolate covered popcorn. Mom would make it up in a big pan and we would munch and when we got to the bottom we would try to scoop up as much of the sticky chocolate as we could. I think her recipe was just butter, sugar, and cocoa.
