Are you a Smurfs fan? Yes, you are! Who isn’t? Well, Smurfs: The Lost Village is heading to theaters April 7th and we are super excited about it! I was born in the 80s and grew up a fan of Smurfs so of course, we’re always excited for anything Smurfs! In recent years there has been a bit of a resurgence of all things 80s, from properties such as Transformers, Alvin and the Chipmunks and My Little Pony. There are even 80s toys you can find them online if you know where to look – check them out here. Now it’s the Smurf’s turn for the modern upgrade.
My husband is a really big fan too. I remember when we first moved in together 11 years ago, he and Jordan used to love watching old Smurfs together. It was really cute! So, of course, we had to make some fun treats to celebrate the new release of Smurfs: The Lost Village!

Doesn’t it look super cute? Well, guess what? It is! We were able to attend a special screening of Smurfs: The Lost Village and let me tell you it was even better than we thought! I wasn’t able to attend, but my Husband and frequent contributor Peter attended and here are his thoughts:
Smurfs: The Lost Village is absolutely “Smurftastic”! This morning I had the privilege to attend the premiere screening with my three youngest boys! First off let me tell you, the animation is so incredibly crisp and life-like, I almost felt like I was a part of the movie not just watching it. Along with a smurfcredible plot and story line, I found this movie easily appeals not only to the younger audience, it certainly will and did appeal to this 40 something’ish kid at heart! I was born and raised having Papa Smurf, Clumsy, Brainy, Hefty and Smurfette on my television every time it was on! What a fantastic crew of talent that was involved in the making of this soon to be blockbuster favourite. Koodles to Joe Maganiello who voiced Hefty, Mandy Patinkin who voiced Papa and Demi Lovato who voiced Smurfette. The list is long and full of top notch actors too long to list! Not only did my boys and I laugh and almost cry at this movie, we are super excited to purchase it when it becomes available as an addition to our library. Spectacular job and performances by all! Be prepared to be amazed and highly entertained.
MAKE SOME SMURFS TREATS TO CELEBRATE!
These are so simple and super cute to make – Marshmallows, Strawberries, and Sprinkles. To make the smurfs we just spread the icing all around the bottom and roll it around the sprinkles. Take scissors and cut out hat shapes and place on top of the skewer. For the little mushrooms do the same with the bottom marshmallow just stick it on the skewer? Cut the tops off the Strawberries and put on top through the skewer. We used some cookie white icing to make the dots and all done!
Super easy and super fun plus they look so cute and actually do remind me of the Smurfs. Perfect to celebrate the new and upcoming released of Smurfs: The Lost Village!
My kids thought this was the best. They adored the strawberry with the marshmallow. These are so easy, my 10-year-old Kyla, made a bunch herself.
We are so excited to celebrate the release of some of our favorites, especially that adorable Smurfette my girls love so much!
So delicious! The girls are always there jumping at the chance to try out all the fun treats and snack we create!
