Disclosure: I am part of the Netflix Canada StreamTeam, and as such received special perks and information that I share with my readers, however, my opinion is my own.
Tomorrow is December 1st! Can you believe it? Where did 2017 go? It’s about to be gone, and I’m excited for 2018 I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see what the next year holds!
With the holidays so close I know a lot of people are starting to plan what will be happening, who you will be visiting and what exciting fun party you’ll be heading to. But, with that comes a little bit of stress. We want to make sure our kids are entertained and taken care of while travelling from house to house, and party to party. Well, Netflix has you covered! You can directly download their favourite show and movie titles right to their tablets, and off you go!
Yesterday while taking the GO Train, Ava was able to enjoy her favourites with no hassle and kept entertained on the hour and a half train ride we had to do twice in one day!
Little Kids, Big Essentials:
Little kids need things to do on busy drives or train rides! Be sure to pack the big essentials, so they stay entertained and content! Packing has never been easier! Smaller kids are a lot easier to please while on the road I find than those a bit older. They tend to nap or watch out the window. But when they get tired, a good show will surely help them pass the time!
Happy Kid, Happy Trip:
Even the kiddos a bit older tend to ask often “are we there yet?” Nip that in the bud quickly and pack all their essentials and be sure to have a smooth ride! I know when we’ve been on longer than usual trips in the car, the only thing to keep everyone occupied can be a show or two.
Be The Cool Parent:
Teens! They can often be the most vocal of the bunch. Wasting no time telling your their distaste for the long road trip, the many pit-stops and the fact that they can’t be with their friends. Keeping them entertained has never been as easy as now thanks to Netflix!
Parents, Don’t Forget About You:
Parents! Don’t forget about yourselves. Be sure to download your favourites and have on hand just in case you get tired of the scenery, or need a change of pace. I often find solace in an entirely good show while on a busy train or bus, beat those Holiday blues and travel stresses right off the bat! It’s now even easier to find something you can easily get lost in with the use of a Pirate Bay proxy or likewise proxies. A proxy can allow you to bypass the location restrictions that streaming services set in place, meaning you can have access to titles that are available in other countries, but not yours. Broaden your selection and find some entertainment for yourself this holiday season.
Between delayed flights, lost luggage, public tantrums and that one thing you forgot to pack, travelling with your family can get complicated, fast. In fact, 1 in 5 Canadian parents says one of their main concerns when travelling is keeping their kids entertained. With the holidays just around the corner, parents can look to offline viewing on Netflix to keep everything, and everyone, under control, while on the go.
It is worth noting that you do have to pay a monthly subscription to access Netflix, but it is definitely worth it. If you don’t have the money in your budget for any more outgoings at the moment, then you could try Leonflix instead. Leonflix is a free search tool for movies and TV shows. It searches video hosting websites and can find and return the videos hosted on those sites. The best thing? It’s free! Download Leonflix here if you’d rather try that.
But, if you can afford it, you can’t go wrong with Netflix. From the tried-and-true shows, you can rely on like Beat Bugs and Luna Petunia to calm any meltdown to discovering new show obsessions like Stretch Armstrong & The Flex Fighters, Netflix downloads are must-have travel essential for parents and their kids. So when it’s time to go on a trip together, one thing is for sure: when Netflix at home becomes Netflix on the go, everyone stays content, engaged and, most importantly, NOT bored.
How does Netflix keep your family sane and entertained while on the go?
