My kids are huge fans of S.T.E.A.M and I’m always encouraging them to pick toys that not only are fun but educational. On Saturday as part of the hands on fun kids will get to learn how to make their own slime, discover the amazing science behind electricity, explore cool robotics and experience the joy of building.

Lucky for me I got my hands on some of these top picks that will make it easy for kids to be hands on while creating, exploring and being able to experiment. Just in time for back-to-school, let’s get them excited about learning and being hands-on!

Here are some top picks that my kids are going crazy about!

CRA-Z-ART CRA-Z-SLIMY CREATIONS: Make your own Crazy Slime in this kit! You can show your friends all your creativity by using the different tools given to you in this kit. RUSTY RIVETS BOTASAUR: If you can dream it, you can build it with Rusty Rivets! Now you can create the Botasaur and bring him to life just like Rusty does in the show! The Rusty Rivets Build Me Rivet System allows kids to design, build, and create just like their favourite characters. Collect all of the Build Me Rivet Systems sets to build all of Rusty’s creations from the show. Combine it and design it with Rusty Rivets!

VEX ROBOTICS STEM STARTER: This modern Catapult has a ratcheting winch that can control the distance projectiles are thrown. Crank the winch to its maximum tension and you can hurl balls over 10 feet! This cool construction set teaches kids important lessons about variable shot power and how machines store kinetic energy. Includes more than 100 easy-snap pieces, 2 balls, and instructions for 2 alternative builds.

CIRCUIT BOARD ELECTRICITY SET: Experiment with conductors, a real working circuit board, wires, light bulbs and more for high-voltage excitement. Learn about electricity, series, circuits, switches, voltage, current, resistance and other concepts important for electricians and others in the field. They can also lookup PCB abbreviations and acronyms so they can better understand the use and needs of electronic components.

INSTA-SNOW POWDER: Insta-Snow ® is the first and original instant snow polymer that actually erupts. No stirring required. Just add water and watch it erupt into snow in seconds. Insta-Snow has been featured on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show, Regis Live, The Today Show, ABC’s Good Morning America, The CBS Morning Show and others on a monthly basis.
