Try The World – Food Subscription Box From Around the World { may }

Try The World - Food Subscription Box From Around the World { may } - sixtimemommy.comIf you have been a reader for a little while you will know I’m a little picky when it comes to food. I don’t like to try a lot of new things, especially if it’s foreign and not something I recognize. So when I was offered the chance to review Try The World a food subscription box from around the world I jumped at the chance. I was lucky enough to receive a box for May and July, so this box I’m reviewing and Peter my new contributor (and husband!) will review July’s box in a few weeks.

trytheworld1May – Try the World: Argentina

Contents of the box:

  • MQA Gourmet – Green Olive Paste: We haven’t found a use for this yet but my husband tasted it and LOVED it.
  • Arytza – Chimichurri: And amazing sauce you can use for steak, dipping is amazing!
  • Chamana and Inti Zen – Argentine Teas: Delicious teas from artisanal tea blenders using Latin American ingredients.
  • Dulcor – Dulce de Membrillo: Fruit spread – Thinly slice and add to bread, toast, or enjoy in between a cookie!
  • Malbec Wine Marinade: AMAZING marinadate that I never want to run out of perfect for steaks, chicken, beef, etc!
  • Bake Love Koo! Butter Cookies: Amazing cookies that are light, and taste just like cookies you’d enjoy at Christmas time!
  • Dona Magdalena – Dulce de Leche: a Delicious topping for ice cream, cakes, or even in your morning tea! We enjoyed on pancakes too!
  • Culture Guide & Info Card: Self explanatory :)

trytheworld9Malbec Wine Marinade was my absolute favorite part of this box. My husband used it for some steaks and it was by far the best steak I had ever had in my entire life. It was delicious, and I’m pretty sad we don’t have a huge box of this stuff.

The Dona Magdalena – Dulce de Leche came a close second. It too was simply delicious. The kids and I enjoyed it with ice cream and even tried some on our pancakes, funny I know but – it tastes SO good.

I was thrilled with the Argentina box. I was able to try things I wouldn’t try otherwise. The fact you get full sized products, which we know is one of my favorite things, is a huge plus. I want to use that Malbec Wine Marinade EVERY TIME we make meat. It’s that good. I was very impressed.
