Tuna Salad & Apple Snack

tunasaladappletitleMy last two pregnancies have been the only time in my life I’ve ever wanted to eat tuna (light tuna packed in water is good, but limit the amount of white or albacore tuna when pregnant). I’m not a big fish lover, and the smell actually makes me feel really queasy so I try to limit having it even in my house. However, lately I’ve been craving the weirdest things from Chinese sweet and sour chicken balls to pickles with m&ms. It’s just strange. But, apples and tuna have recently become a thing as well.

Some of my kids even really love this too so it’s a win/win when making it!


  • 1 can of tuna, drained
  • 2 Tbsp cranberries
  • 1 tsp of lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp of mayonnaise ( you can use yogurt as well )
  • 1 sweet apple cut into slices (my favorite is Pink Lady)

Mix all ingredients until well combined and spoon it on top of apple slices.

It’s super simple and if your kids don’t like tuna it’s a great way to have a snack that you can actually enjoy on your own. Sadly, for me I have 2 kids who like tuna so I’m always having to share! Schucks!
